Elections

The City of Granger is a Type A general law municipality. The governing body, known as the city council, consists of a Mayor and five Council members/Aldermen/Alderwomen, who are elected at large. Granger’s Mayor and Council members/Alderman/Alderwomen terms are two years.
A qualified voter wanting to apply for a position on the ballot may do so by completing an “Application for a place on the Ballot for a General Election for a City, School District, or other Political Subdivision”.

These applications can be obtained in person at Granger City Hall, 214 E. Davilla, or online at this link: Application For A Place on the Ballot For a General Election For a City, School District or Other Political Subdivision (texas.gov).

General Elections are held on uniform election dates. Granger holds its election on the spring uniform election date, the first Saturday in May of each year.
